Booking & Cancellation Policy

What to expect when you pay, change or cancel.

Deposits and payment

Local experiences are usually paid on the day. For multi-day trips, a deposit may be requested to secure permits, lodging and transport, with the balance due before departure. Taj will tell you exactly what applies when she sends your quote.

Changing your booking

Need a different date or time? Tell us as early as you can and we will do our best to move you at no cost.

Cancelling a local experience

Cancel at least 48 hours before the start for a full refund of any amount paid. Later cancellations may be charged for costs already committed (for example a host or venue).

Cancelling a multi-day trip

Permits, lodges and transport are often non-refundable once booked. We will share the exact terms with your quote, and refund whatever our suppliers return to us.

Gorilla and other park permits

Gorilla permits and some park fees are issued by the Uganda Wildlife Authority on strict terms and are usually non-refundable. Date changes depend on availability.

If we need to cancel

If we must cancel for safety, weather or other reasons, we will offer another date or a full refund of what you have paid for that experience.
