A Day in Kampala
Give me a full day and I’ll introduce you to several sides of Uganda’s capital: history, neighbourhoods, markets, food and viewpoints.
Walk, taste, listen and experience the city I know. Discover Kampala beyond the landmarks through neighbourhoods, markets, food, stories and everyday life.
Come spend a day seeing my Kampala.
We’ll mix some of the city’s important places with markets, neighbourhoods, food, stories and spontaneous stops along the way.
This isn’t about racing between attractions. It’s about understanding how Kampala lives.
Along the way you will meet people I have known for years: a market seller, a craftsperson, a few friends who run small businesses. Introductions are relaxed and unscripted. Nobody is performing for the camera, which is exactly why these conversations are so good.

Expect to eat well: a rolex (rolled chapati and eggs), grilled street snacks and something sweet. Tell me about allergies and diets beforehand and I will plan the stops around you.

Come hungry and wear shoes you do not mind getting dusty. Kampala’s best corners are rarely the cleanest ones.

Uganda tastes better when you know where the food comes from. Explore a market, sample street food and learn what people eat at home. Come hungry.
Kampala changes when the sun goes down. Live music, bars, food, dancing, events and the energy of the city after sunset, with someone who knows where to go.
It is the one I recommend most. It gives you the lay of the land, and many guests go on to book a food, nightlife or full-day experience after it.
Yes. I stay with you the whole time, I choose the places, and I never rush you. Many of my guests are solo travellers, women included.
Always. Tell me what you are curious about (art, music, markets, history) and I will bend the day around it.
We adjust. Kampala’s covered markets, cafés and workshops make a rainy morning surprisingly good.
You don’t necessarily need a perfectly planned itinerary. Tell me when you’re coming, what you’re curious about and how you like to travel. I’ll help you find an experience that feels right for you. Let’s explore Uganda together.
A short message is all I need.
