I've guided Jinja more times than I can count, and I still get up early for it. There's a stretch of the river just past the source where the water goes completely flat before sunrise, and fishermen paddle out in silence.

Everyone comes to Jinja for the rapids. I keep coming back for the mornings before them.
By mid-morning the boats are out, the rafting groups are briefed, and the town wakes up properly. But that first hour on the water, coffee in hand, is the part I'd guide for free.
